So the past few day I been searching for chemical formulating company for my work, I came across this company http://www.healthadvanceslab.com/contact.htm during my search and I send that company a business e-mail. This morning, I got a voice mail left by some dude name Dr. Kurt something something from someplace (his accent was pretty strong so I couldn't make sense) saying he wish me to call him back so we can discuss about business in detail, now, since I can not make much sense on what his saying and I contacted a number of companies in the past few day, I tried google that number he gave me ,1-619-475-9951 to see which company was he representing, and this is what I found -

ttp://www.casewatch.org/crim/donsbach/declaration.shtml

" Kurt Donsbach, 73, whose dubious health-related activities have spanned more than 50 years, is facing 11 felony counts including treating patients without a license, misbranding drugs for sale, grand theft, unlawfully dispensing drugs as a cure for cancer, and falsely representing a cure for cancer. The declaration in support of his arrest warrant states ..."

Apparently this guy is also do a weekly radio broad cast on Thursday from 10 to 12 am where he talk about his drug cure for cancer, patient should take half the prescription doctor recommended, ect (Detail all in the article). I guess you San Diego peep need to watch out. Supposedly the warrant is out, don't know he was already arrested and bailed, but since he can still call me, it means his out of the bar.

Random though of the day - Watermark

How do people like photographer's watermark on your photo? Big and noticeable? Small and discreet? Burned in the background of the image? Put on an extra boarder outside of the picture? No watermark and credited the photographer separately?

I always felt weird seem photographer's watermark taking up like an entire corner of photos since it can get distracting, but that just me.

On a side note I woke up twice last night, one time was from a zombie nightmare, another one I forgot, but most likely also nightmare as I recall I waking up shiver.

On another side note I completely both Earth and Zeon storyline for the game, while you do have semi-different ending, ultimately Zeon's have a worse end IMO.

On yet another side note, while everyone online is piloting Gundam NT-1, etc... I plan on pwning people with this

Though it suck really bad when I'm playing underwater map.

機動戦士ガンダム戦記 U.C.0081

<lj-embed id="56" />

http://ps3-gundam.net/

Been playing this game since Saturday, all I can say is that it is addicting, and a must have
for Gundam fan.

This is how the game play out, you basically have 2 mode to play, Scenario and Free Mission, the two mode's save data are not shared however, so keep that in mind.

Scenario-

You basically pick between playing as ユーグ・クーロ from Earth Federation or as インビジブル・ナイツ from Zeon. The scenario goes through approximately similar event, but is worthwhile to play though on both side since you get to see both side's view point both with its own dialog, voice acting, etc. There is also all the in battle communication, cut scene, etc, just like actual Gundam Anime. You basically obtain new MS as story progress, gears and parts are also purchased at a cheaper rate.

Free Mission-

You start off by picking which side, Earth Federation or Zeon (Although I have seem people online as Mercenary, but I'm not sure how to do it, I guess they can join either side at free will). I picked Zeon since I been doing Earth Federation on Scenario, plus the communicator voice for Zeon is more lively, and every freaking Gimu look almost the same. You start off as level one with really basic equipments (Like...1 Zaku II and 2 Zaku I, lol). You can play either online or offline mode, Offline mode you play solo, can only open up new area once you beat the current one, you also have 2 side NPC with you who's AI are somewhat acceptable but are doom to be mostly uselsss which I'll talk about it later.

Online mode you basically can create a Room or Join another person's Room and play either co-op or PvP (There seems to be a few different form of Pvp, but I did not really check it out yet as my level is low). Interesting on online mode is that it does not have a level restriction between players, so you could join someone who's doing mission on Hell mode as a Zaku I and leech off from them. Every time you beat a mission, you get a chance to be reward on up to 3 parts or gears(Weapons/Shield), some mission also yield you special upgrade parts.

Now the MS are come each with each of their own Armor Point, Generator, Fight, Shoot, Speed, Capacity, etc.

Armor point = your HP.

Generator effect the amount of weapon/type of weapon and parts you can equip, as all weapon/shield/parts require a # of Generator.

Fight/Shoot effect the your output damage/defense against that type of attack.

Speed is your moving speed

Boost is how long your booster last

Capacity effect the amount of Parts you can wear.

Now, Parts, or Option Parts, are what makes each MS different. Usually OP work in the way that it Increase 1 stat, decrease another, and at the same time take up X Capacity (However, you can only equip up to 12(?) OP on the same MS):

+ 50 SHOOT/-10 GEN, -1 Cap.

The higher level OP have greater + effect but also take up more Cap.

Other OP such as extra magazine, +Radar, +Zoom Distance, etc, only require X Cap to equip.

Now the way the game design is that while you can modify your MS to a certain advancement, but essentially you HAVE to move on to better MS. For example, my MS have 200 GEN, I want to have him wear beam rifle, which cost 150 GEN, I would than have to pretty much remove either my melee weapon / shield, as they each cost 50 GEN, but I can also OP up my GEN, to make it so that my MS can have 300 GEN. I than want to increase my shooting power, so I equip OP that is +Shoot/-Gen, this mean I would have to wear more +GEN OP, but that also means I'll have a lower Booster amount, as +GEN give you -BOOST, I'll also be not able to wear extra magazine and other OP, as I only have a limited Capacity to play with.

Some OP serve as upgrade for your MS. For example, there are OP that let you upgrade your Zaku II commander version (with the horn) to Char's specification, but you would need 10 of that OP, which are drop by chance on specific mission.

Game also design so that you'll have to grind/farm abit as at the start, normal mission yield you perhaps 5000~10k points per win, while a Zaku 2 cost you 30k, Zaku II commander cost you 40K. Sure you get more points reward for harder mission, some are at 20k per fight, but anything after Zaku II commander you're starting to look at cost of 100k, 150k, 600k. On top of that you'll have to buy your weapons, shields, and OP that you want (Atleast each mission usually take about 10min to complete) . This means you don't really have the time gear up your NPCs plus they are also not presented during online mode.

So far the only thing I'm dislike of the game is the time it take to search game online, usually it takes around 30sec - 1min to refresh (maybe caz I'm in US?) and your selection for custom search are limited to type of game (co-op, pvp, rumble) and ability to voice chat (lol what?). You can't search by mission or level or other specifics. But I love everything else about the game.

Lately I been going for swim right after work. The beautiful blue that I see when I dive in is just simply spectacular (Ofcourse I pretend not to see the old age group that is doing water movement on the side). The more I swim the more I think of this artist,

http://sugarock99.deviantart.com/

Here is some of her work (she doesn't allow embed)

http://sugarock99.deviantart.com/art/Through-the-Looking-Glass-125542241

http://sugarock99.deviantart.com/art/Exit-132236383

http://sugarock99.deviantart.com/art/Carousel-111467815

I'm sure you'll also find lots of art you like from her.

That made me want to do underwater more and more, I had read an article on underwater shooting 2 years ago that had me interested in it since than. Contract to popular though that you must have a underwater hose (which cost roughly 1k for plastic, wtf?), the artist for that article did all his work using an Olympus water proof camera and he also made some noteable remark as to why a waterproof P&S would be sufficient enough( <strike>Stillvision</strike> Solartempest I think you asked a question about underwater hose before, wether is worth it or not, I was busy back than and forgot to reply, so this maybe help).

1. A waterproof P&S cost roughly cost around 300 USD, while underwater hose cost 1k.

2. Most of the time while you're in water, you will only be in there for a quick 20 Seconds and that is with probabbly 10 seconds waiting for the model to get the pose ready. Underwater posing is not like on land posing, you have to wait until the hair, cloth, etc. float to the position you want, can't simply just put them there. Because of that, the idea is to snatch as much shot as you can, thus, a P&S with large LCD to liveview(I mean, most DSLR don't have liveview) will help you frame underwater much faster and quicker.

3. Unless you're already experienced enough and is shooting with alot of object in the water (model, prop, water bubble, etc) and needed specific shutter speed for the effect, chance are you are going to shoot everything on full auto. As mentioned above you have about 10~15 seconds to shoot per model entering the water & you can only shoot so much a day before the model's eye gets red from opening the eye in the water, you will not have the time to adjust your shutter speed, etc in water. So letting the auto decide what is best on focus & enhanced it later in post process would be a better chose & since full auto produce roughly the same result on both type of camera, go with the lower cost one to start.

4. one of DSLR's main power is the variety of lens. However, when you first start off underwater shooting, chances are you would be doing in swimming pool, what does that mean? It means that you aren't really going to need a variety of lens, it means that you aren't goign to need much of the cool super lens blur, as the distant background is just a pile of blues, you aren't really going to have blur background, etc. So a DSLR without strong lens on auto is pretty much a nice P&S.

5. Most P&S have really big Megapixel now, so you'll a nice big picture to work with.

6. You are going to do alot of post processing, be it shopping out the waterhose in the swim pool, or what not, just be accept that you are not going to get a "perfect" shot like you would normally on land shoot.

=====================
Feel like doing a friend cut, if I cut you, it either means,
1. We haven't talk to each other for over half a year.
2. I really don't remember who you are.
3. I been just skipping your posts for various of reasons.

So I spend most of the yesterday visiting a cosmetic manufacturer. It was interesting to see tanks and tanks of raw material, mixing process, etc. Also the numbers such as how much was Mac worth back when they were purchased by others, how much cover girls make a year in Target, etc. Sadly this doesn't make me a makeup expert.

Organization + Communication = Success?

To successfully plan an event, you need detail organization and frequent communication.
Detail organization include asking question such as:
What day is the event?
When is the event?
How many people involve?
Where is everyone coming from?
What is everyone doing?
Is there carpool involve?
How long would the event go?

Frequent communication involve atleast all the attendee know what is going on, and included or notified ahead of time of they are a key role in the event.

The Organizer can never, ever, not communicate with other people or relay on people to pass the message on. With the advance of technology, communication are made much easier. AIM, MSN, Text Message, cell phone, LJ, there are atleast 5 method to contact a person, but most people just simply choose not to, or been lazy about it. Is like playing a mind game where the two side have to guess what the other is thinking.

If you're a poor organizer, either stop organizing, or wise up. Talk with people, communicate, discuss, let all the parties know whats coming. A disorganized event does nothing but reflect on the lack of personal skill on the organizer.
(Also, don't ever wait until the last min and tell people your plan and expect everyone to follow through)

While been slower than usual, I finished Jojo and Pandora Heart set. Jojo set was great fun, I always wanted to check out LA's old zoo so this was a great opportunity. The background fit perfectly well with Jojo, as jojo is a very colorful and attitude series. I'm very glad that chris/soni asked me to do this set, as I felt I receive more valuable experience than them.

To give heads up to others wanting to try out the location, the place was pretty dirty as it was abandon and have trash all over the place. While it is open free to the public, you do have to craw through ripped opening on the wire fens to get into the actual cells that used to hold the animals, so I wouldn't recommend large costume prop. Luckliy both Chris/Soni doesn't have a problem of getting dirty or crawl into questionable place that look like where people hide mystery stuff.(minus the bug incident!).

I always find it more exciting when model doesn't mind getting the costume dirty (like Shiya jumping into the ocean with her shino costume back than, which tooked her a week handwash to get it cleaned), sometimes in order to get the feeling into the shot, you have to destroy the costume in the progress (ie. my Manji cos). Of course, this is not always the case and there are also good reasons why coser need the costume be clean/one piece after the shoot.

The other set done was Pandora Heart. It was a challenging set as the socal sun was really causing a great difference in lightning, especially when I want to included all background & the clocktower. None the less, it was fun time & thanks to Lunaneko, chibi & Tiff for the shoot. I wish Luna & Chibi have fun in Ukraine.

Last thing left from AX is Code Geass set, which I hope to start on it next week. I'm leaving for Vegas tomorrow for work and will not be back until Tuesday night.

hi to all that I see, sorry to all I didn't see.

Me & Sephy arrived Marriot on Thursday night. Friday morning we did Ryokochan after getting the costume from Cheyenne (Let me know when you're coming down again, don't know why my boobs got bigger but if we can re-size it that would be great).
I than do Chas Susan and Nadia's Zone 00 shoot.

I than do photos for Natasha, Tiff and Imari's Skip beat group.

Than I got really bad allergy and had to eat and take medicine.

Than I did photos fro friend, black shooting star? & maid.

Sat morning I did black butler photos.

I did regular Kanji.

We did Dolls.

I did Maria Holic and did shoot with Ricky.

Sunday

I did cross dress Kanji and attrached lots attention, why am I so pretty? Thank Tony for photos.

We did Wedding Patrick & Katie, Thanks to Minhsoi, Tony, and Mike for photos.

Later we ate some food thanks to Bert.

Monday was breakfast with Tiff, Natash, Chibi, and the photog crew.

I think the only downfall was this new face asian photographer, tall with glasses, which I name him BBK.

Basically when I was in our p4 cross dress costume, he came up asking for picture, which was fine, however he want to take the shot under the tree which is fill with wood chips. So I said,

"I can't go there caz I'm barefoot"

To which he respond,

"Well than I guess you're not in the picture than"
